  • Did you know?

Before we begin the product specification, we first need to define the distinction between genuine leather and faux leather, or at times called leatherette. The following points are probably the most important points you need to know when you are searching for a quality tool belt. For those who are unfamiliar with leather terminology, I will attempt to explain it briefly and directly to the point. Genuine leather is the hide direct from the animal.Faux and leatherette are materials compressed with other materials, including glue, to form a sheet or roll of material that can be sold under the leather trade name.Knowing the difference can be deceiving at times.Just keep in mind that the face side of faux and leatherette looks more like a plastic appearance compared to real leather, which looks natural with different face markings. Leatherett and faux leather have no comparison to the durability of genuine leather. Now that we got that out of the way, let's take a closer look at the product.

    About The Product

At what point in your career should you think about getting a padded belt? This can be divided into 2 parts: one is if you need extra back support, and the other is that padded belts are definitely more comfortable than standard work belts. Due to the belt shape distributing the belt weight evenly, and if you're carrying an extra few pounds like myself, standard belts can be uncomfortable at the front buckle area. When it comes to padded belts, there are a few things to know. Finding a padded belt that fits correctly is essential. Most padded belts sold are standard size, either too small, leaving the front belt area open, or too large, with an overlap at the front belt buckle.Normally, the price of these mass-produced padded belts reflects the quality you will receive. At Hammerex, we focus on quality, not quantity. Our team takes great pride in the belt size and overall design we produce, as if they were going to wear it themselves daily. They understand that quality represents the end price and that the product must perform to the standards set for it. It's supposed to tick all the boxes for comfort and use. Because of our design team effort, you can now buy a belt in the right size. This was a challenge at the start due to the selection of waist sizes. But they nailed it as always, while this is only part of your belt selection. The next important part of the belt is the padding, as this is what you will invest in after your belt fits correctly. We chose to add 3.5 cm of padding to the back support, with side padding of 2 cm. And of course, it's breathable padding. The back support of the belt was an important feature. That would be of comfort while maintaining an appropriate appearance in size. 17 cm in width was the end result we achieved, in proportion to the overall belt design. Our team looked closely at all the areas on the belt to find fixtures that would benefit any trade. While these features would attach to the belt, it was important that they did not interfere with the belt's function as a placement of tool holders. As we did research, we found that there was a lot of space at the back that was being used. We also observed that tradesmen today hung their claw hammers in this same area. With this idea, we created sample designs with different options. Each time, looking more in depth at the end result, we decided to add a hook placement either for a hammer or drywall knife that can be used to clip a lanyard if needed. Depending on your trade, at times, you guys carry quite a selection of tools with power tools hanging wherever there is free belt space. We selected a water-resistant industrial material called d1680. This material would ensure the belt's durability with weight pulling against it.And last but not least, lifting the padded belt when loaded with tools and pouches led us to add 2 leather strap handles along with inner belt straps to hold the inner leather belt in the center from side movement. All in all, guys, you have a serious padded belt set up that, if looked after a little, should last your trade years.

Once you have decided to invest in a padded tool belt, the next step is selecting the inner leather belt choice. We have a few options that work in line with this padded belt design, with all sizes available. I will post links below to view the belt options. As we say, different horses for different courses.

And finally, let's discuss your belt size.Choose your waist size from the dropdown menu above.Remember, even though the size is in the menu, there are also a few inches either up or down in the belt size. so you will be confident in your belt selection.Check out the diamagnetic in the windom above to clearly understand the belt size chart.
